Pay attention to the process of trade

Alchemy is a great skill to have but realistically it SLOWS your LEVELING because you have to run around collecting herbs with Herbalism. I still recommend doing Alchemy but if you want to level decently while doing it you are going to DEFINITELY WANT TO SEE THIS GUIDE first to make sure you’ll have enough GOLD to BUY as many HERBS as you can on the Auction House.

nice guide if you're looking to power-level alchemy....but it looks like this guide was written by someone who didn't intend to keep alchemy as a main profession throughout the game. I let the process be more organic, meaning I've made almost every potion and elixir in my recipe book at least once. Yeah, I spent a lot of money leveling my alchemy skill, and a lot of time running around the various zones "berry-picking" as it were, but I can happily say I've never needed to buy herbs at AH. (The nice thing about being an herbalist is that I inevitably have extra herbs I can sell off at the Auction House to people not willing to level herbalism in tandem with their alchemy profession.) All I can say is that it sucks to be them, but they keep me in gold so to each her own i guess

everyone has the pots that they want for any important confrontation with either a raid boss or a world PvP target. You can either be a supplier with lvl 375 alchemy, a beggar who dumps tons of gold on the Auction House to get their daily fix, or a guild leach who is always getting discount pots from the guild alchemist. If you're here, you've probably already decided to choose the former
