World of Warcraft - US
My initial mistake was to fail to recognize the interceptor frigate in
the lot, fitted with a webifier. Even with the afterburner at full capacity, Crimson Skies' shield took a hell of a beating:
they all spawned max. 20km away, and started shooting right away. Since there was no way I could dispatch those frigates
before they cut through the shield, I had Aeon warp out - and right back again. Except this time, the afterburner was burning
the instant I got out of warp - and thus swiftly escaped the webifier's range. It really was quite a fright, I already
pictured those bloody rats shredding my ship to pieces, along with my implants and co...

Feeling ready to go, I spoke to my agent and accepted part 5, I was as prepared as I could be under the circumstances. As
Aeon got out of warp at the destination, I flinched at the sight of two big red blips in the overview, bigger than the usual
ones. They turned out to be cruisers amongst a whole platoon of evil-looking Amarr frigates. Even their names seemed
dangerous, like "State Kissaki", "Imperial Agatho" or "Divine Imperial Sprite" for ex. Nevertheless, I engaged them and was
relieved to see my sniper tactics worked well, even against the first of the two cruisers. The deadliest opponent proved to
be the second cruiser, a State Shukuro Ashigaru. I kept him at about 45kms but his missile range was way over that. Crimson
Skies sustained a constant barrage of light missiles, doing 45 damage each. Firepower-wise, I was evenly matched with my
opponent, his shield dwindling about as fast as did mine. The only way I could make a difference was with the new shield
booster I had fitted, and even then I had very few power left afterwards.

Aeon got back to station alive, his ship in good shape and already brooding about what will have to change for the next time
he gets this mission. Knowing what to expect is valuable intel, so I am confident next time will be a little easier but not
exactly a walk in the park either. At least it was interesting and profitable, too - and I know that I most definitely will
not be running level 3 missions for a while yet. Now I have to work up my standings and learn a bit more about what is in
store for Aeon in the future.
